SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — In an effort to incentivize the COVID-19 vaccine and to boost business, Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed into law on Wednesday Senate Bill 104.
If patrons of alcohol-serving establishments show proof of being vaccinated, these establishments may offer them a free alcoholic beverage — including hard liquor — under SB 104.
The offer is good from 6 P.M. until 10 P.M. all nights of operation through Jul. 20.
The bill also allows said businesses to continue to offer delivery and carryout of cocktails through Jan. 3, 2024.
All portions of the bill were effective upon Pritzker’s signature.
