PEORIA, Ill. – Two people are dead following what Peoria Police have deemed a double homicide.
Medics responded just after 6 p.m. Wednesday to the 2300 block of N. Idaho on reports of two men bleeding inside a parked vehicle.
“Peoria Police were immediately requested after the two occupants of the vehicle were obviously deceased,” said Peoria Public Information Officer Amy Dotson.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood identified the victims as 22-year-old Zamion Bailey and 27-year-old Eric Bailey, who were brothers.
Harwood said the men had been in the vehicle for quite a while.
“We could ascertain, based on science, forensic science, and witness accounts and things like that, the victims had been in the car for at least one day,” Harwood said.
Suspect information is developing.
