Corey Griffin has been named as the bicyclist.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said Griffin was not wearing a helmet and suffered multiple blunt force head injuries.
A toxicology test was pending.

WEST PEORIA, Ill. — A bicyclist has died after being struck by an SUV late Monday afternoon in West Peoria.
Peoria County Sheriff’s Deputies were called just before 6:00 to the intersection of Waverly Ave. and Kellogg Ave. to an accident with serious injuries, involving a vehicle and a man riding a motorized bicycle.
West Peoria Fire was first to the scene to give medical attention to the occupants involved. 21-year-old Destinee Cole was the driver of the vehicle, a Chevy Equinox, and the motorized bicyclist was a 33-year-old male.
An eyewitness report indicated Cole was traveling westbound on Kellogg, and did not completely stop at the stop sign at Waverly, subsequently striking the bicyclist traveling southbound on Waverly.
The bicyclist was taken to St. Francis with serious injuries, but later pronounced dead.
Cole was charged with a disobeying a stop sign.
The Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office will handle any further charges.
