PEORIA, Ill. — Each of the three counties comprising the Peoria City/County Health Department’s reporting area between Monday and Tuesday recorded a COVID-19-related death.
In Peoria County, a woman in her 60s died while, in Tazewell, a woman in her 80s died, and a Woodford man in his 80s passed.
The three counties recorded a total of 15 new cases. Nine of the cases are Peoria residents, four are Tazewell, and two belong to Woodford.
Hospitalizations were reduced to 28, from 44. Seven of the 28 as of Tuesday afternoon were in intensive care.
Two of the key regional metrics held steady, remaining at their Monday numbers. Rolling seven-day positivity held at 1.3%, while ICU bed availability stayed at 25%.
Meanwhile, overall regional COVID hospitalizations dropped to 74.
