SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — In total, 365 Illinoisans between Monday and Tuesday tested positive for coronavirus. 11 died from related complications.
791 people as of Monday night were in hospital beds throughout the state because of the virus. 226 of them were in intensive care, while 117 were on ventilators.
The Illinois Department of Public Health said 68% of Illinois adults as of Tuesday had received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, with 51% fully vaccinated. 44,174 people on Monday received a shot.
Labs throughout the state collected 36,408 specimens for testing.
