INDIANAPOLIS — An NCAA advisory board has recommended the association lift its rules regarding student-athletes’ ability to profit off their names, images, and likenesses (NIL).
Should it pass, student-athletes will be able to accept endorsement deals and other such money-making opportunities in states where laws allow them to do so.
20 states have passed NIL laws.
The NCAA Board of Directors is set to meet Wednesday to discuss the recommendation.
