SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — On average, the state of Illinois added more than 3,000 new COVID-19 cases per day in the last week.
The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Friday reported 21,334 new cases since last Friday, including 92 additional deaths.
On a good note, nearly 60% of Illinois adults are now considered fully vaccinated, while 76% have received at least one dose.
Those hospitalized with COVID-19 increased by 452 since last week, with an increase of 99 in ICU bed usage.
