PEORIA, Ill. – We now know the names of the two adults who were among the nine arrested after the fights Friday at Peoria High School.
Our news partner 25 News reports 19-year-old Jaylin Johnson (pictured left) and 18-year-old Cody Anderson (right) each face charges of Obstructing an Officer and Resisting a Peace Officer. Johnson also faces a charge of Battery.
The two have since been released from jail.
Fights inside and outside Peoria High School and in the area started after 7am Friday and lasted until police from multiple agencies responded to the scene and finally calmed things down in the afternoon.
Peoria Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Sharon Desmoulin-Kherat says there were no incidents Monday morning, and that the investigation into Friday is ongoing.
