HANNA CITY, Ill. — Lightning is believed to have started a fire at the Refuel Bar in Hanna City.
Logan-Trivoli Fire Chief David Tuttle said Peoria County Sheriff’s Deputies, doing routine patrols, were called around 3:50 a.m. Tuesday to the bar on W. Farmington Road (Rt. 116).
When fire crews arrived, they saw heavy smoke and fire coming from the roof on the east side of the building.
The fire was knocked down in about 20 minutes, though crews remained on the scene for three hours.
The Fire Marshall’s Office is investigating.
Damage was estimated at $45,000.
No injuries were reported.
