PEORIA, Ill. — Downtown Peoria will be filled with runners this weekend.
Adam White, with ShaZam Racing, says the Whiskey Daddle races begin Saturday at 8 a.m. with the Whiskey Shot 5K, followed by more races on Sunday.
The races are returning to downtown Peoria after taking a year off last year due to COVID-19.
“Starting at 7:30 Sunday morning, we have three races. We have the Bootlegger, marathon relay, four-person relay, we have the Bottle, which is the half-marathon, and we’ve the Barrel, which is the full marathon,” White said.
The Barrel marathon is full. But, there are still slots open in the other events, and time to get signed up.
“If you don’t want to run, but you want to volunteer, we need volunteers. Go to whiskeydaddle.com and click on the volunteer button,” White said.
