PEORIA, Ill. — What is “The Noshery”?
Becky and Darren Frye are breaking into the hospitality industry with the new concept of eating out in Peoria.
“The Noshery” is part of a new food hall inside Keller Station, off Knoxville and Northmoor Avenues in Peoria.
Becky Frye told WMBD’s “The Greg and Dan Show”, it’s definitely not a food court, like you’d find at the mall.
“I’ve explained it more of gourmet food trucks, in brick and mortar,” Frye said.
Diners will order food from five themed food concepts including street tacos, gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, Poke and Ramen bowls and deli sandwiches.
“Small menus, doing a few things well and gourmet. But, all in one location, Frye said.
The Fryes are working with local hospitality pro Andy Sepich to open “The Noshery”. It’s made up of five restaurants and a bar: Whistle Stop Deli, Ramen Ya, Cheeze Louize, Boxcar Pizza Co., Taco Rio and CC’s Bar.
According to Darren Frye, the restaurants and a bar will make up a “pod” around a common kitchen.
“So, it’s an open kitchen, so you can kinda look in. But, you can go up to a point of sale, where you’re going to order, and you can order in one spot for everything with the exception of the deli,” said Frye.
“The Noshery” opens at Keller Station’s Terminal Building on Wednesday, November 3.
