Peoria, Ill — There is plenty of excitement building for Bradley Braves basketball.
Speaking on WMBD’s “The Greg and Dan Show”, Bradley Athletic Director Dr. Chris Reynolds shared in the excitement, saying “it’s an opportunity to get out and socialize and see people” amidst much of the introversion forced upon us by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Braves fans faced pandemic related restrictions throughout much of the 2020-2021 season.
Now, with some public health guidelines in place, including masking requirements and a rule that any loose belongings go into a clear plastic bag, fans are once again being allowed to crowd back into Carver Arena to see the home team play.
The Braves men’s and women’s teams are set for their pre-season exhibition matchups on Thursday.
The women will play first against McKendree University. Tip-off for that game is set for 5:30 p.m.
The men will tip-off against the University of Illinois Springfield for an exhibition match at 8:00 p.m.
Dr. Reynolds says all Braves Club members are being urged to come to Renaissance Colliseum Monday thru Thursday this week to pick up season-ticket holder packets, including parking passes.
Those will be available from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.
They’ll be available there Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and then program staff will bring them to the exhibition matches for you to pick up at the Civic Center.
Braves Club members can also get their packet via snail mail, but you’ll need to notify the Bradley Athletic Department at bravesclub@bradley.edu.
Fans who opt for this are reminder their packet may not arrive in time for Thursday’s exhibition games.
The regular season begins for the men on Tuesday, Nov. 9th when the Braves travel to play South Dakota State.
The women begin their regular season at home that same night, taking on Wright State at Renaissance Colliseum.
