PEKIN, Ill. – The state will begin vaccinating children aged five to eleven from the COVID-19 virus in Tazewell County later this week, and the Tazewell County Health Department will join them next week.
The health department says the state will hold a school-based vaccine clinic at Olympia West Elementary School in Minier from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. this Friday.
Then, next week, officials say they will hold clinics Monday and Tuesday of next week, starting at East Peoria Community High School. That one will be Monday from 3:30 p.m.to 7 p.m.
The White House says by the end of Wednesday, 900,000 kids will have been vaccinated from COVID-19.
