PEORIA, Ill. – The young child allegedly hit by a hit-and-run driver earlier this week is close to losing his life.
That’s according to Ariel Ivory — the mother of Troy Erving, 10. Ivory tells our news partner 25 News Erving is now brain dead, and, “the family is saying their final goodbyes.”
The accident happened around 7:15 P.M. Tuesday in the 1600 block of Northeast Glen Oak Avenue.
Karrie Brunswig, 43, faces a host of charges following the accident, including Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Driving on a Suspended License.
She remains jailed on $1 million bond after her arrest Wednesday.
Residents in the area tell 25 News drivers speed through the area all the time.
