Peoria, Ill — We’re learning about this year’s drive-up hours the East Peoria Festival of Lights static displays.
According to a news release, the Folepi’s Winter Wonderland drive-thru display will open at 5 p.m. Nov. 25 and will remain open through Jan. 2, including all holidays.
Typical hours will be 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday thru Thursday and then 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Hours will be reduced between Christmas and New Year’s, though.
During that period, you’ll only be able to drive through and see the static light displays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. each night.
The display features lighted parade floats and themed areas such as the Western Town, Circus Land, Space Travel and the Prehistoric Area.
Folepi’s Winter Wonderland will also be there for visitors to enjoy if they wish.
Admission is $10 for regular vehicles (cars, trucks and vans), $30 for a small bus (party, shuttle, mini and school), and $150 for full-size charter buses. Cash, credit and debit cards are accepted.
Motorists coming to the display from Interstate 74 should use Exit 98-Pinecrest Drive. From there, they should proceed along Pinecrest Drive, turn right onto Muller Road, and then turn right onto Springfield Road.
The intersections will be marked with signage.
The northbound lane of Springfield Road will have two lanes of traffic.
Local traffic will use the center of the lane and Winter Wonderland traffic will use the portion closer to the curb. Winter Wonderland motorists must not block driveways and side streets to allow East Peoria residents access to their homes.
You’re also reminded that long lines of cars will traditionally form on weekends.
Those entrance lines are much shorter Sunday through Thursday.
