PEORIA, Ill. – Family and friends are remembering the 10-year-old Peoria boy who died Friday after what police termed a hit-and-run accident earlier last week.
A vigil was held Tuesday night for Troy Erving. He was riding his bike on Northeast Glen Oak Avenue when a car reportedly struck him.
Erving’s mother, Ariel Ivory, tells news partner 25 News everyone loved her son.
“Loving, giving boy, which he was. Very energetic,” said Ivory.
A sister of Erving tells 25 News she misses her brother, and all the time they spent making funny TikTok videos together.
“I promise, soon as he stepped in a room, they fall straight in love with him,” said Ivory. “Just keep that image of him.”
Karrie Brunswig, 43, was arrested on both felony and traffic offenses following the accident and remains jailed. She’s due back in court next month.
