PEORIA, Ill. — Once a year, the Peoria Civic Center is filled with farmers.
The Greater Peoria Farm Show, the biggest indoor show of its kind in Illinois, is celebrating it’s 40th year November 30-December 2.
The Farm Show is back after being cancelled last year due to COVID-19.
“They tried to reschedule it to March, but it still wasn’t ready then. So, this will be the first time its back in a couple years,” said Deloss Janke, with RFD Illinois.
The Farm Show, featuring hundreds of interactive agriculture exhibits, has brought over 600,000 visitors to the Peoria Civic Center since it began in 1982, averaging over 15,000 each year.
“I’ve seen farmers from all different parts of Illinois there. And, certainly retailers or exhibitors from a good portion of the state as well,” Janke said.
He adds, “It’s a great time to have some of those individual conversations, and in many cases, make plans for the coming growing season.”
