PEKIN, Ill. – A Pekin City Council member is accused by his peers of sexual harassment.
Our news partner 25 News reports a City Council Ethics Committee found that Council Member Lloyd Orrick was guilty of violating the city’s ethics ordinance.
Council woman Karen Hohimer was allegedly bullied and harassed by Orrick on at least six occasions through the last year, including at council meetings.
The full council will vote this month on punishment. Hohimer tells 25 News that includes a fine and stripping Orrick of the title of “Mayor Pro Tem.”
No criminal charges have been filed. Orrick and Pekin Mayor Mark Luft could not be reached for comment by 25 News.
