PEKIN, Ill. — Pekin Mayor and State Representative Mark Luft has officially launched his re-election bid for the Illinois House.
“The communities in my district are my priority. Effective conservative leadership matters, and I’m proud to bring people together to serve our district,” Luft said. “My priorities are growing our local economy, protecting parents’ rights, cleaning up corruption, and supporting our law enforcement officers.”
Luft will run in Illinois’ new 93rd District. It contains all or parts of Fulton, Henry, Knox, Peoria, Stark and Tazewell Counties.
Luft was elected to the Illinois House in 2020.
“Over these past two years in the Illinois House, I have been eager to open my door to anyone committed to the mission of improving Illinois. I am passionate about building consensus and support for turning our state around,” Luft said.
He adds, “I understand Central Illinoisans expect their elected leaders to find areas of agreement and move the ball down the field.”
