WASHINGTON, Ill. — Officials at Washington Community High School said on Friday that they had resolved a potential student safety risk reported earlier this week.
According to the school’s Facebook page, Washington Police began investigating the situation Thursday, after a threatening note was written on a bathroom wall.
The student responsible for the note was identified and questioned. Details of the student’s discipline were not released.
School officials had indicated on Thursday that classes might be cancelled on Friday because of the threat, but it was water main repairs that kept students home.
