PEORIA, Ill. — A blast of winter weather is headed for the Peoria area this week.
News partner 25 News Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins says the storm will be a continuous snow event beginning Tuesday night and lasting through Thursday.
“During that time we’ll see significant snow accumulation of 8 inches or more. Strong winds will create blizzard like conditions and will make travel hazardous, if not impossible,” Collins says.
The Winter Storm Watch for Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford Counties will be in effect from 9 p.m. Tuesday through 12 a.m. Friday.
