PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria teenager and a juvenile are jailed, accused of trying to steal a car in South Peoria.
Peoria Police accuse Davyon Dillard, 18, of approaching a car on West Marquette Monday morning, with a gun, and forcing the driver and her passenger out.
Police later found the car on South Warren, but Dillard and a juvenile fled, found in a nearby home later. The handgun allegedly used was also found.
Dillard and the juvenile are charged with Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking. Dillard is also facing several felony weapons charges: Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Aggravated Unlawful use of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Handgun for a person under 21, and No F.O.I.D. card.
