PEORIA, Ill. – As of 6:00 A.M. Wednesday, a lot of snow has already fallen today in Peoria, and more is expected to fall before it’s all said and done.
“I’m looking at official observations. At the airport in Peoria, 6.7 (inches) since it started,” said Chuck Collins, Chief Meteorologist for our news partner, 25 News. “Just round it to seven. We have another four or five to go before it shuts off at two or three this (Wednesday) afternoon.”
Collins says there may be another inch or more of snow Wednesday night into Thursday morning before it’s all done.
“(We’ll be) right arond that foot mark, which is what we’ve been thinking. So, I think, Peoria is pretty much going to come in with a foot. The Weather Service is going with the range a little bit higher than that.”
The Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6:00 Thursday night, and most local street parking bans running until Friday at the latest.
