PEORIA, Ill. — Things won’t return to normal for Peoria students just yet, as local school district leaders have announced another day of remote learning.
Peoria Public Schools announced late Thursday there would be another eLearning day planned for Friday.
In a recorded message to parents, district spokesman Thomas Bruch said the decision was being made, “due to ongoing concerns about travel conditions” following this week’s winter storm.
Bruch added that all after school activities, such as athletic events, may ultimately resume on Friday, but decisions are being made by specific schools and coaches.
“Please check with your coach or principal, or your school website if you have questions,” Bruch said in the recorded message.
Bruch ended the message to parents by saying the district, “can’t wait to see you back in our schools Monday.”
