WINTERSET, IA (FOX News) — Tornadoes that struck Central Iowa over Saturday are being called the deadliest in over a decade, after they destroyed power lines, homes and left seven people dead, including two young children.
The National Weather Service estimates that there were at least three tornadoes, but says it’s too soon to know how many total there were at this time.
NOAA also suggested that the tornado in Winterset, Iowa on Saturday might have been an EF-3 with wind speeds over 130 mph.
