PEORIA, Ill. – Officials have released more details regarding a two-vehicle accident happening Wednesday over the lunch hour.
Peoria Fire officials say crews were called to University and Mac Queen just before noon for an accident involving a car and an SUV.
One person was trapped inside a vehicle, causing firefighters to use the Jaws of Life to perform what they called a “difficult extrication.”
All three people were taken to a local hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
It’s not clear if rainy weather played a role in the crash, nor if any citations will be issued by police.

An SUV and a car were involved. It’s not yet clear if the rainy weather played a role in the crash.
