TAZEWELL COUNTY, Ill. – A Pennsylvania-based company is locating a plant in Tazewell County.
The Greater Peoria Economic Development Council says Regal Industrial Corporation has purchased the former Superior Industries building near South Pekin in unincorporated Tazewell County.
“The facility at 14425 Wagonseller Road was a perfect fit for our business,” said Joe Professori, Vice President, Regal Industrial Corporation, in a news release. “Regal Industrial Corporation now has a tremendous advantage to service our business partners throughout the Midwest. We are also excited to be part of the Pekin community and look forward to the evolution of our organization and this great facility.”
The company does sandblasting, fireproofing, water proofing, and industrial coating, among other things.
“We are happy that Regal Industrial Corporation chose Greater Peoria to support their growth in the Midwest and across the country,” said Chris Setti, CEO, Greater Peoria Economic Development Council, in a news release. “As a community known for our vast expertise in metal manufacturing, we have the workforce and expertise to support their business goals and are excited to work with them in the months and years to come.”
Officials say Regal plans to hire 15 to 20 people right away before going to full operations next year.
