WHITE COUNTY, Ill. – You probably didn’t feel it, but people who lived in extreme southern Illinois might have.
The U.S. Geological Survey says a magnitude 2.4 earthquake was recorded around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday in White County, Illinois — not far from the Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky borders, and about an hour away from Evansville, Indiana.
The quake, officials say, had a depth of about 12 miles.
There are a few reports of people feeling it in Evansville, and in Carmi, Illinois.
