WEST PEORIA, Ill. – The Peoria County Sheriffs Department says they’ve arrested a 73-year-old woman’s grandson for allegedly causing her death Thursday morning.
Deputies say Cody Krause, 28, is booked in jail on a charge of First Degree Murder.
Deputies responded to a call on Kim Moor Avenue near Airport Road in West Peoria around 7:00 a.m. for a call of “trouble with a male,” and found the victim.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says an autopsy on Glenda Rusterholz will be conducted Friday.
Krause is believed to have lived at the home with Rusterholz.

PEORIA, Ill. — A homicide investigation is ongoing in Peoria County on Thursday, following a potential domestic dispute call.
Peoria County Sheriff’s Deputies announced on their Facebook page that they received a call regarding “trouble with a male” at a home at 860 S. Kim Moor Ave, just off Airport Road in West Peoria.
According to a news release, when deputies arrived, they located a female victim inside the residence who was deceased.
Sheriff’s officials say a male located at the scene was being detained and “this is being investigated as a Homicide”.
Information regarding the victim, as well as the manner and cause of death, will be released by the Peoria County Coroner.
The Peoria County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division is currently investigating this case.
