PEORIA, Ill. — Just before midnight Friday, emergency crews responded to the intersection of Sterling and War Memorial Drive to a three-vehicle crash.
The driver of one of the cars was trapped inside. Crews used the ‘Jaws of Life,’ to free the driver.
Peoria Fire Battalion Chief Michael Hughes said the driver was safely extricated from the car and sent to a hospital. The extent of their injuries was unknown.
The occupants of the other vehicles in the crash were treated on scene and released.
The incident is under investigation by Peoria Police.
