PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria’s Juneteenth Fest this weekend will have it all…food, fashion and fun for everyone.
“It’s at John Gwynn Park, next to Carver Center, it’s tomorrow (Saturday) from 11-6, it’s an all day event. Of course, you don’t have to stay all day, but we would encourage you to stay all day, because we have different things happening at different times,” Organizer Taryn Dior said.
John Gwynn Avenue will be blocked off. Parking will be available near Valeska Hinton Early Childhood Center.
“If anybody does need a shuttle, we do have golf carts out there to help get people back and forth,” Dior told WMBD’s “The Greg and Dan Show”.
There will be horseback rides for kids, an alumni basketball game, a car show, a fashion show, a DJ and more.
