BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – A company best known for its breakfast cereals but makes other food products is going to be calling Illinois its new official corporate home.
According to a news release, Kellogg’s is announcing it is splitting up into three separate businesses, with an overall corporate headquarters in Chicago.
Governor JB Pritzker said on Twitter “We’re happy that you’re making our great state your home.” Chicago will be home of what will become “Global Snacking Co.”
It will still maintain its campus in Battle Creek, Michigan, along with one in Chicago.
Of the three separate businesses, one will deal with cereal, one will deal with plant-based products led by Morningstar Farms, and the third will deal with snacks.
Congrats to Kellogg on moving its iconic snacking HQ to Illinois. We’re happy that you’re making our great state your home.
