PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria City Hall’s side lot will be closed through Sunday night for the return of the St. Jude runners from Memphis and the accompanying celebration with satellite runners from across the Midwest Saturday.
There are limited parking spots along Fulton from Monroe to Jefferson. Parking is also available in nearby parking decks.
The St. Jude runners will begin arriving downtown Saturday around 2 p.m. ahead of the St. Jude’s Telethon at the Peoria Civic Center Saturday night.
Over 2,200 runners will converge on Peoria Saturday.
City officials have posted signs downtown telling drivers to watch for runners and to expect some delays through Saturday evening.
