PONTIAC, Ill. – A judge in Livingston County has given a man convicted of the murders of three people more than the maximum for the deaths.
Court records indicate the judge gave Clifford Brewer, 55, life in prison plus 25 years after being convicted in August of six counts of first degree murder.
The shooting deaths of Shirley Brewer, 48, Christian Brewer, 27, and Norman Walker, 51, occurred Christmas morning of 2019 — the bodies found inside the Brewer home in Cullom.
25 News reports Clifford Brewer, who maintained his innocence, turned to Walker’s daughter in court saying he didn’t kill the man, calling him “a good man and a good friend.”
Brewer could still appeal.
