PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police say five people were arrested — four of them juveniles — after a shooting Sunday night involving an allegedly stolen car.
Police say they tried to pull a vehicle over at 11:52 p.m. near McClure and Sheridan, but stopped after it fled at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle was later spotted on East Melbourne, but the five people inside fled on foot, only to be caught shortly thereafter.
Police arrested four juveniles on charges of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Obstructing Police, and they were taken into juvenile custody.
Meanwhile, Sentaries Farmer, 18, faces charges of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Criminal Trespass to a Vehicle, Obstructing an Officer, Unlawful Possession of a Handgun Under 21, and was taken to the Peoria County Jail.
