PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man is behind hars after barricading himself inside a residence over the weekend.
Peoria Police say they were called to a home on Northeast Madison in the North Valley Saturday around 5:30 a.m., on reports of a male with a gun.
Officers say Chuc Fondren, 34, was holed up inside the the home, while other occupants were able to get out safety.
The man eventually surrendered to the police Special Response Team, after which investigators found the gun in question.
Fondren was arrested on a host of charges including Domestic Battery and Child Endangerment, but prosecutors only filed a felony charge of Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, and have scheduled a preliminary hearing for November Fourth.
