PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man who was in jail on murder charges now faces charges for allegedly assaulting Peoria County corrections employees.
A Peoria County grand jury this week filed counts of Aggravated Battery and Aggravated Assault against Ditarius Jordan, 31.
Jordan allegedly threw urine at one corrections employee September 13th, and waved what was called a “sharpened object” at another.
He’s scheduled to be arraigned in that case next Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Jordan has been jailed since 2020 on murder charges for allegedly shooting and killing Keishana Currie at a home on West Loucks in May of that year.
After years of delays, that case is scheduled to go to trial November 14th.
