PEORIA, Ill. – The superintendent of Peoria Public Schools has a job for at least four more years.
The District 150 School Board Monday night approved a four-year contract extension for Dr. Sharon Desmoulin-Kherat.
But the vote was not unanimous. 25 News reports Anni Reinking and Chase Klaus voted “no.” Reinking declined to comment, and Klaus could not be reached.
It’s not yet clear what Kherat’s salary will be, but compensation reports on the district’s website indicate she received almost $290,000 in salary, along with bonuses and benefits worth almost $23,000, in the most previous school year.
Kherat has been superintendent since 2015.
