PEORIA HEIGHTS, Ill. –A Peoria Heights man who allegedly burned down a home and damaged two others in the area last month now stands indicted by a grand jury.
Skylar Walker, 32, is accused in the fire that caused “catastrophic” damage to a home at 1016 East Rouse Ave. in Peoria Heights on October 23.
One floor of the blazing home fell in on the rest, leaving the property a total loss and also damaging homes on either side.
Local police arrested Walker on Nov. 2 and charged him with Residential Arson.
Walker had been arrested two prior times in October and faced charges of Public Indecency and Disorderly Conduct in one case.
In another, five days later, he was arrested on a charge of Criminal Damage to Property.
He’s been held at the Peoria County Jail on a bond of $200,000.
A Peoria County grand jury on Tuesday issued its bill of indictment on the newer Residential Arson charge, directing Walker to appear for Arraignment on Thursday, Dec. 1 at the 9:30 a.m. docket.
