WASHINGTON, Ill. – We’re starting to learn what it is that might have caused people to feel ill after eating at the Monical’s Pizza location in Washington within the last week or so.
The Tazewell County Health Department says so far, laboratory tests have confirmed at least three cases of a norovirus infection connected to the restaurant.
The dates of the onset of the illness range from November 21st to the 26th.
The investigation has also determined that high-touch surfaces were what caused the transmission.
The health department’s investigation of the 150 people who claim they got sick at the Monical’s location continues, with the restaurant since re-opening.
