PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police say they’re doing it again soon.
Police and two local churches are partnering on December 10th to hold another gun buyback event.
After a similar event November 19th ended quickly because of high demand, this time, they’re only allowing three firearms per person.
With the exception of muzzleloaders, police say any firearms — both functioning and not — can be brought in.
Functioning firearms can be exchanged for gift cards: $500 for each assault-type rifle, $400 for ghost guns, and $200 for handguns, rifles, and shotguns.
There’s a $1,000 limit per person.
