PEKIN, Ill. – Aaron Rossi has taken the witness stand, but he’s not saying much.
At a hearing in Tazewell County Court regarding civil lawsults filed against him related to his operation of now-closed Reditus Labs, Rossi pleaded the 5th.
It came as Rossi was being asked to prove that his then-attorney, Michael Evans, was acting on the company’s behalf when writing up contracts, including one with the State, on the company’s behalf.
Rossi took the 5th Amendment privilege given the pending federal tax and mail fraud charges also pending against him.
25 News reports Evans testified he saw his role as, quote, “representing Aaron Rossi.”
Reditus is now in receivership and is disbanding, and it’s not yet decided where the company’s assets will go.
