PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man is in custody after he allegedly shot another man in the hand late Thursday morning.
That’s the latest in a shooting incident we first told you about then.
Police say it started as an argument around 11:30 Thursday morning on Joan Court near Sheridan Road.
The victim told police that’s when Charles Jackson, 63, left, and returned a short time later, shooting the victim in the hand.
Jackson now faces charges of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and Reckless Conduct, and is now in jail.
The victim sustained a minor injury.
Peoria County Jail records indicate Jackson has a lengthy arrest record, dating back to at least 1988.
