BARTONVILLE, Ill. – Crews from Bartonville had two fires to contend with under extremely cold conditions Friday.
Bartonville Fire officials say one happened in the late afternoon hours at DJ’s Tire and Auto on South Adams Street.
While 25 News reports a charred heater was located outside the building, fire officials say they were able to contain the fire to the shop area.
Three other fire departments assisted. No word on how much damaged was caused.
Another fire happened a few hours later near Eaton and Franklin Avenues, and officials say that blaze started in an oven, and was contained there.
No one was hurt.

BARTONVILLE, Ill. – Authorities are looking into what caused a fire at a Bartonville auto shop on Friday afternoon.
25 News reports smoke was coming out of the building of DJ’s Tire and Auto Service on South Adams St. They also report a charred heater located on the outside of the building.
A couple vehicles were located in the building as well.
Damage estimates are also unknown at this time.
