PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria woman arrested earlier in the month on charges of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, now also faces a charge of Drug-Induced Homicide.
A Peoria County grand jury is charging Sharon Lucy, 58 with those counts after meeting Tuesday.
The indictment accuses Lucy of delivering Fentanyl to Angela Price in August, allegedly causing Price’s overdose death, while at a home on Reservoir Boulevard.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood recently said Price’s death was one of 45 overdose deaths as of earlier this month, with most of them being due to fentanyl.
Lucy has been in jail since December 6th, and has a lengthy arrest record in Peoria County.
She’ll be arraigned Thursday.
