PEORIA, Ill. — Average gas prices in Peoria have risen a little over 10 cents a gallon in the last week, averaging $3.46 on Monday, according to GasBuddy.com‘s survey of 148 gas stations in Peoria.
Peoria’s prices are about five cents per gallon higher than a month ago, and 3.5 cents higher than a year ago.
According to GasBuddy reports, the cheapest gas in Peoria was $3.26 on Sunday, while the most expensive gas was $3.79.
Illinois’ lowest gas price on Sunday was $2.86 a gallon, and the highest price was $4.79.
Meanwhile, AAA Illinois says the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded in the Peoria-Pekin metro area on Monday was $3.46. The state average was $3.51 a gallon.
According to GasBuddy, the national average price of gas rose 2.5 cents a gallon in the last week, averaging $3.28 a gallon on Monday.
The national average is up nearly 15 cents a gallon from a month ago and just over two cents a gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data.
AAA’s national average price is $3.30 a gallon.
