PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria’s 31st Martin Luther King Jr. Day luncheon is being held Monday at the Peoria Civic Center.
Former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is the keynote speaker.
If you are going to the luncheon, officials say you can only enter the Civic Center at the Toyota Box Office entrance.

Also on Monday, The King Holiday Committee of Peoria is sponsoring the annual MLK Freedom March, which starts at at 1:30 p.m.
The parade route begins at Duryea at the Bradley Garrett Center, on to Moss Avenue, to Western, Martin and ending at Madison Park Terrace at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Peoria Police say there will be no street closures for the march.
If you’re driving downtown during the march, give yourself a bit of extra time to get where you’re going and watch for pedestrians.
