PEORIA, Ill. – A GoFundMe has been setup for the victim of Sunday’s fatal accident on U.S. 150 and Koerner Road.
As of Thursday morning, more than $14,000 has been raised in support of 43-year-old Miriam Schmid of Edwards. The GoFundMe was started by Lindsay Kleitsch on behalf of Calvin Schmid.
Funds raised will go towards funeral expenses and helping support Schmid’s five children.
43-year-old Jeremy Perry of Hanna City is being sought in connection to the crash. He allegedly caused the three-car accident that caused Schmid’s death and injured three others.
Perry is being charged with two counts of aggravated driving under the influence, and one county of aggravated fleeing and eluding. More charges are expected when the Peoria County grand jury meets next month.
The warrant has a bond of $1 million.
