PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria County grand jury has indicted a man suspected of committing at least three armed robberies over about a one month period of time.
While they were in separate cases, the grand jury charged Desmond Turner, 24, with three counts each of Armed Robbery and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
Turner was arrested January 11th. The robberies all occurred between December second and January fourth.
One is believed to have occurred at a gas station on Soutwest Adams Street, and two at convenience stores on West Starr and South Griswold Streets.
Turner remains jailed and is scheduled to be arraigned February 9th.
