PEORIA, Ill. – Two juveniles are accused of stealing a car that ended up causing some damage late Tuesday night.
Peoria Police say they were first alerted to the stolen vehicle around 11:20 p.m., when the owner told officers the vehicle was being warmed up when it was stolen on West Antoinette.
A 12-year-old and a 14-year-old were later seen fleeing the vehicle near Saint James and University, but they didn’t put the car in park, causing it to roll across University and come to a stop on a curb.
Police say the juveniles face counts of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Criminal Damage to Property, and other counts.
No one was hurt.
